The Global 'I can't keep quiet' Flashmob Day

How Amazing was this moment ?

This was a big day for Holler4.  Our first 'I Can't Keep Quiet' workshop.  Would anyone turn up? Would anyone 'get' the song?  But we held onto our belief that there's such a passion and drive behind I Can't Keep Quiet ... it feels like it has a life of it's own.  We're finding that women are seeking out opportunities to learn it.  They so want to be part of this new feminist movement and by singing, they're choosing to engage in a positive, empowering way .  Here's some of the proof.

One lady wrote this on our feedback form. "I found you on youtube / Facebook.  Loved the song, loved the sentiment, I'm just learning to sing in tune.  Always been a feminist (I'm 70 now)." Amazing, right!

Here's another comment .. "Because what you 're doing is amazing and powerful <3. and because when I first heard the song it made my cry, it says so much".

And another .. "I've come to contribute in a positive way to raising the profile of the continuing challenges women face around the world.

With all that powerful impetus behind their intentions, it was no surprise that when they began to sing, right from the off, it sounded AMAZING. The feeling in the room was electric.  When Denise suggested to take it out onto the streets, everyone couldn't get out the door quick enough. And when the 'man with  the walkie talkie' at the London Underground Station came to chuck us off the premises, everyone sang the lyrics louder and louder "I can't keep quiet ... NOT FOR ANYONE .. not anymore!""  A perfect moment for a perfect flashmob. In the end, everyone left with their hearts full of pride and we know we can't stop there.   This song has legs and we're going to run with it.  Watch this space for more workshop dates!  Eeeekkkkkk !!!
